FORMAT FOR THE CONTRIBUTED PAPER The organizing committee will only accept contributed papers submitted in the .pdf format, not exceeding  4 pages in length and using the standard A4 size in the printed form. Detailed instructions on the preparation of contributed papers are given below. LINUX PLATFORM                                                                                                           a) Please download the file "icrc29p1.tar.gz". De-compress the file with "gunzip icrc29p1.tar.gz" which will give the file icrc29p1.tar. Open the tar package with "tar xvf icrc29p1.tar" which will give the following files in a new directory "ICRC29P1":         1) Class file                                 icrc29.cls         2) Sample ICRC manuscript       sample.tex         3) Figure file                               fig1.eps         4) PDF output                             sample.pdf         5) Instructions                             README                                                                                                         b) File sample.tex shows the format to be used for generating the title including list of authors and running titles as listed on the commands \title and \author within square brakets. For example, [Search for $\gamma$-rays from GRAPES-3 ...] and [H.J. Bhabha et al.] in sample.tex.                                                                                                         c) The sample file uses the class file "icrc29.cls" which should not be changed when writing the latex file of your manuscript and generating the postscript or the PDF file.                                                                                                         d) In the 'presenter' command in the sample.tex file, please include the name of the presenter with email address and the ID code for the abstract as given in the acknowledgement message sent by the Secretariat for the acceptance of the abstract.                                                                                                         e) The maximum acceptable size of the manuscript is four printed pages with the specifications given in the "icrc29.cls".                                                                                                         f) In view of the large number of abstracts submitted and the requirement to put all the papers submitted for presentation at the conference on a single CD for distribution at the start of the conference, it has been decided that the maximum size of the pdf file of any paper should not exceed 1 MB.                                                                                                         g) When mailing your manuscript to the Secretariat (icrc2005@icrc2005.tifr.res.in), please make a tar file as follows:    Please make a new directory, for example,  "icrc29p1" and transfer the manuscript (.tex) file, all figure (.eps) files and the pdf file to this directory. Then combine all these files into a tar file with the command  "tar -cvf icrc29p1.tar icrc29p1" from outside the "icrc29p1" directory.    Please compress this file with "gzip icrc29p1.tar" to make the file 'icrc29p1.tar.gz' which can be attached to your mail.                                                                                                        h) Please name the file for the 2nd paper as 'icrc29p2.tar.gz' and so on.                                                                                                         i) Please write the paper code in the Subject of the message, for example,    Subject:ind-student-D-abs1-he14-poster                                                                                                         Please write to the Secretariat for any clarification or help in the preparation of your manuscript. Unzip the file, using 'winzip' which will create a new directory 'ICRC29P1'.
